Nagarjuna who was last seen playing the lead role in The Ghost, is all set to play the lead role in Malayalam remake. The reports are coming that Nagarjuna is going to play the lead role in the remake of period action thriller Porinju Mariam Jose which was released in the year 2019 and it was a successful venture at the box office. The film ran for 100 days in theatres after Kumbalangi Nights, Lucifer, Uyare and Virus.
As Nagarjuna is very impressed with this film, has decided to act in this. The upcoming remake will be helmed by the writer Prasanna Kumar Bezawada and the movie will mark his directorial debut in Telugu film Industry.
Prasanna Kumar Bezawada is an Indian screenwriter and lyricist who works in Tollywood. He is known for the movies Cinema Choopistha Mava, Naanna Nenu Naa Boyfriends, Nenu Local and Hello Guru Prema Kosame. He had also worked for Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja’s Dhamaka.
The upcoming big budget action thriller will be bankrolled by Srinivasaa Chitturi who is currently bankrolling Naga Chaitanya and Venkat Prabhu starrer upcoming film Custody which has Krithi Shetty as the leading lady. Soon the official announcement regarding this project will be made.
