Namrata, the wife of Superstar Mahesh Babu is currently enjoying the success of Maharshi, which is running successfully at the box office. Namrata is popular for promoting Mahesh Babu’ project on social media sites. Recently Namrata shared a pic of Maharshi celebration on her instagram. An Instagram user wrote for one of pic, “Namarta, why don’t you put some make-up. Are you suffering with… depression.” The former Miss World Namrata shut the troll with her empowering reply, She replied, “You might love women with make-up… maybe you should follow someone who is always made up and suits your criteria! You are not going to find it on this page!! So maybe you should get off it… sincere request.”
Namrata Shirodkar was awarded the Femina Miss India in 1993. She represented India in the Miss Universepageant and came in sixth place. The same year, she also represented India in the Miss Asia Pacific contest and was chosen as first runner-up.
Namrata is best known for her works in films such as Kachche Dhaage, Ezhupunna Tharakan, Vaastav: The Reality, Pukar , for which she was nominated for the IIFA Best Supporting Actress Award, Astitva, Dil Vil Pyar Vyar, LOC Kargil, and Bride and Prejudice. She tied the knot with Mahesh Babu on 10th February 2005, and the couple have a son and a daughter. After the marriage Namrata left the acting.
