Bollywood actor Nana Patekar has found himself embroiled in a new controversy after years of being embroiled in the MeToo movement. A new video of Nana Patekar hitting a fan who tried to take a selfie with him on the sets of his film has surfaced on the internet.
A viral video shows Nana Patekar in a brown blazer and cap while shooting for his next film Journey on the street leading to Dasashwamedh Ghat in Varanasi. It shows when a boy comes up from behind Nana and starts taking a selfie with him, Nana hits him on the head when he realizes what the boy is doing. A crew member standing next to Nana grabs the boy by the neck and makes him leave the set.
Many on social media have condemned the act of slapping a fan. A fan responded to the video posted on X, fuming, “Actually, in India we have given these actors and cricketers god status, to be ready to beat and kick them.”
Another said, “At the end of the movie 26/11 Mumbai attacks, this man spoke as if he is the greatest patriot, but this is the reality of these artists. Such behavior towards the common man is unfortunate, our real heroes are on the border and not on the movie screen,” he said.
