Nani was last seen playing the lead role in romantic and comedy movie Ante Sundaraniki. Though the performance of the lead actors were applauded but the movie was turned out flop at the box office. Nani starrer Ante Sundariniki, which could not attract the movie lovers to the theaters, met with the same result on TV. The movie marked the Telugu debut of Malayalam actress Nazriya Fahadh.
The film Ante Sundariniki had its world Television premiere recently on Gemini TV but the ratings gave a huge shock as it was very low.
Ante Sundariniki registered the lowest-ever rating for a Nani film as it garnered a TRP of 1.88 on its first telecast. For a film premiere on Television, this is the lowest number. More usage of OTT these days is being cited as the reason behind these low TRPs for films.
Apparently, Nani has lost both the theatrical and TV market. The romantic comedy film is written and directed by Vivek Athreya. Produced by Mythri Movie Makers. It was released in cinemas on 10th June 2022 and opened to mixed reviews from critics. The film grossed over Rs 38 crore at the box office. Nani played the role of Sundara Prasad in this flick.
