Venkatesh Daggubati starrer Narappa is an action drama film directed by Srikanth Addala. It is a remake of the Tamil-language film Asuran which is itself based on the novel Vekkai by Poomani, in which Dhanush played the lead role. Apart from Venkatesh, Narappa also has National award winning actress Priyamani, Karthik Rathnam, Prakash Raj, Murali Sharma and Sampath Raj in the crucial roles. Though the revenge drama was supposed to hit the theaters in the second week of May month but the makers postponed the release due to the second wave of the Coronavirus. Now they are planning to announce the release date of Venkatesh and Priyamani starrer soon.
The entire shooting formalities of this upcoming much hyped drama were wrapped up before the lockdown. Currently the team is busy in the post production work and the sources say that the first copy of Narappa will be ready within a week.
Narappa is jointly bankrolled by Suresh Babu and Kalaipuli S Thanu. Mani Sharma is composing the music for the film while Shyam K Naidu is handling the cinematography and Marthand K Venkatesh is the editor.
On the otherside, Priyamani was last seen in the web drama The Family Man 2 and Venkatesh will be seen playing the lead role in the hilarious drama F3.
