Lady Superstar Nayantara has donated Rs 20 lakhs to Film Employees Federation of South India -FEFSI, to help take care of the needs of cine workers in times of corona pandemic. This is biggest donation by a south Indian beauty.
Nayantara has announced the donation of Rs 20 lakh to Film Employees Federation of South India to help daily wagers, who are struggling to earn money during lockdown. Many celebrities, including Sivakarthikeyan, Rajinikanth, Aishwarya Rajesh and Vijay Sethupathi, have donated money to help the needy and poor people.
Aishwarya Rajesh recently donated a sum of Rs 1 lakh to workers in Kollywood. RK Selvamani, president of FEFSI, requested the top actress in the film industry to help the needy people.
Many actors and producers have also given rice bags and other essential amenities to the people who are struggling to get the food items during lockdown period.
Only three actresses have contributed to improve the livelihood of daily wagers in Tamil film industry. Recently senior actress Sripriya’ family has donated Rs 30 lakh rupees towards Chief Minister and Prime Minister relief fund.
Due to the outbreak of COVID-19, all movie related work has been stopped. Shooting and production work have been stalled.
