Nayanthara apologizes! Reason Annapoorani controversy

Annapoorani is Nayanthara’s 75th film in her career. The movie, which was released in theaters on December 1 last year, got good talk. A month after the completion of the theatrical run i.e. from December 29, the famous OTT giant started streaming Annapoorani on Netflix.

The audience who watched it on Netflix from different parts raised objections to this movie. They expressed their anger saying that there are scenes to hurt the sentiments of Hindus. Unable to withstand this attack, Netflix removed Annapoorani from its platform.

According to the latest report, Nayanthara stated her film Annapoorani was removed from Netflix for ‘hurting sentiments.’ It streamed for only a day after a theatrical release on 1st December. Now she came forward to extend her apologies and clarified her intentions.

Lady Superstar Nayanthara said: I am writing this letter with a heavy heart on the developments happening due to the movie Annapoorani. Annapoorani is not just a movie but an attempt to instill the spirit of not giving up courage in any situation.  I and my team never intended to hurt anyone’s sentiments and we understand the gravity of this issue. Being someone who whole heartedly believes in God and frequently visits the temples across the country, it is the last thing I would intentionally do. To those whose feelings we have touched, I extend my sincere and heartfelt apologies.”
