It is known that lady Superstar Nayanthara is playing the female lead in an upcoming Telugu film Godfather, the remake of Lucifer starring Chiranjeevi in the lead role. Nayanthara was spotted late on Wednesday night in Hyderabad returning home after shooting for Godfather. She looked cute even without makeup on as a driver dropped her back to her room after shooting a hectic schedule.
It is also being heard that Baahubali fame Ramya Krishnan has been roped in to play Chiranjeevi’s sister in the film even if the makers are yet to confirm the same. While the original film was directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran with Mohan Lal in the lead role, Jayam Mohan Raja is helming the remake which is titled Godfather.
Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy fame Chiranjeevi will sport a salt-and-pepper look in the film that will tell a tale of politics and deceit. We have to wait to know what changes the filmmakers have made to the remake.
On 26th January, Chiranjeevi revealed that he tested positive for Covid-19 and currently he is in the isolation. The makers are canning a few important scenes that don’t involve Chiru. Shooting is progressing at a brisk pace in Hyderabad. Satyadev has also been roped in for a crucial role and it’s rumored that Salman Khan will play a cameo role in the film.
