NIA is conducting surprise searches in Telugu states. NIA officials conducted simultaneous searches in the homes of several civil rights leaders and lawyers in Telugu states from early morning today. NIA searches are going on in around 15 areas. It seems that these searches are going on with the allegations of helping the Maoists. These checks were carried out in the houses of the leaders who were crucial in the human rights movement.

A civil rights association leader and lawyer Suresh’s house was searched in Vidyanagar, Hyderabad. A lawyer is searching the houses of Suresh and his relatives. Searches were conducted at the residence of advocate Kranti Chaitanya in Tirupati. The NIA is also conducting searches at the residence of Kula Nirmula Porata Samiti leader Duddu Venkatarao in Cheemakurti of Prakasam district.

NIA officials are also conducting searches at the residence of APCLC District General Secretary Ellanki Venkateshwarlu in Usman Sahebpet, Nellore. Venkateshwar has been instrumental in the civil rights movement for two decades. 

NIA searches are also going on in Guntur district. NIA team searches T Raja Rao’s house. The NIA officials reached the public hospital belonging to Raja Rao early in the morning and are conducting searches. In this order, the special forces that came there on a large scale sealed off the vicinity of his residence and the hospital.
