Nicaragua’s Sheynnis Palacios won the title of  Miss Universe 2023, defeating India’s Shweta Sharda in a grand event that took place in San Salvador, El Salvador on 19th November.

This year Miss Universe title was won by Miss Nicaragua Shennis Palacios. Shweta Sharada, who participated in this competition for India, stood second.

The winner of Miss Universe 2023 is Shennis Palacios from Nicaragua. The contest took place on November 19 at the Jose Adolfo Pineda Arena in San Salvador, El Salvador. 

The 72nd Miss Universe pageant was held in 2023. It was held in El Salvador. Blondes from 90 countries participated in this competition. Shweta Sharada participated in this competition on behalf of India and stood second. 23-year-old Shweta Sharada won the title of Miss Diva Universe 2023 in August this year. Later, representing India, she stormed into the semifinals of Miss Universe 2023.

Shweta, who was the runner-up in Miss Universe 2023, is 22 years old. Her family lives in Chandigarh. Swetha moved to Mumbai at the age of 16 to pursue her dreams. She participated in many TV dance competitions like ‘DID’, ‘Dance Deewane’, ‘Jhalak Dikhlaja’. So far three Indian beauties have won the Miss Universe crown. Sushmita Sen in 1994, Laura Dutta in 2000 and Harnaz Sandhu in 2021 have won this title.
