
The Gujarati film Last Film Show, which is also called Chhello Show, is India’s official entry for Oscars 2023. Film Federation of India -FFI has selected Pan Nilan’s Last Film Show – Chholle Show- as the country’s official entry to the Oscars.
The Gujarati film won a number of awards in many film festivals over the last two years. However, after making the headlines, everyone shows quite interest to watch the movie and now the reports are coming that the movie Chholle Show will be released in Gujarat and at some selected screens across the nation on 14th October 2022. Many people are unhappy with the decision of selecting a film that wasn’t released in India to date. Meanwhile, Telugu people expected that SS Rajamouli’ magnum opus RRR starring Young Tiger Jr NTR, Mega Power Star Ram Charan, Alia Bhatt, Ajay Devgn will be considered as the official entry to the Oscars and it didn’t happen.
Chholle Show is directed by Pan Nalin and produced by Siddharth Roy Kapoor, Pan Nalin, Dheer Momaya and Mark Duale. The film has won several awards on international forums. It is a part autobiographical drama that captures the charm of western region of Gujarat while paying homage to the cinema of the past.
