Vaishnav Tej, the younger brother of Sai Dharam Tej made his debut in Telugu film industry with the romantic drama Uppena in which he romanced Krithi Shetty under the direction of Buchi Babu Sana. And the movie which also had Vijay Sethupathi in the crucial role, was a blockbuster. Now according to the latest buzz in the film industry, Vaishnav Tej was not the first choice of Uppena. During the media interaction, Buch Babu Sana revealed that he wanted to rope in Vijay Deverakonda to play the lead role in uppena and he also penned the story according to Arjun Reddy fame star.
Buchi Babu Sana also revealed that after the release of Arjun Reddy, he changed his mind and offered the role to Vaishnav Tej and he accepted the offer. Uppena was bankrolled by Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar writings.
Currently Vaishnav Tej has multiple projects in his kitty and he is also waiting for the release of his film which is helmed by Krish of Gauthamiputra Satakarni fame. It has Rakul Preet Singh as the leading lady. The makers have wrapped up the entire shoot and currently it is in the post production stage.
