Officer starring Akkineni Nagarjuna is carrying least buzz among the trade circles. Ram Gopal Varma‘s directorial venture Officer- a cop based drama is scheduled to hit the theaters on 1st June. Initially Officer was scheduled to hit the theaters on 25th May but later the makers postponed the release of Officer due to delay in post production work and now Officer will arrive at the theaters on 1st June.
The recently released teasers and trailers of Officer have received negative response from the movie lovers. The sources close to the Officer team say that no buyers have approached the makers and Ram Gopal Varma himself is releasing the film Officer for Nizam area due to poor pre release business offers. The makers of Officer are trying to save face by telling that the rights of Officer were sold for a fancy price.
Myra Sareen is playing the female lead and Akkineni Nagarjuna will be seen essaying tough cop in Officer.
Officer is jointly produced by Ram Gopal Varma and Sudheer Chandra on R Company Productions. Ravi Shankar has composed the music of Officer.

Officer marks the reunion of Ram Gopal Varma and Nagarjuna after more than 27 year. The last time Nagarjuna and Ram Gopal Varma came together for Shiva- the movie went on to become one of the biggest hits of Telugu cinema.
Ram Gopal Varma has already revealed that Nagarjuna character in Officer is inspired from the life story of IPS officer KM Prasanna.
Ram Gopal Varma’s officer will clash with Nandamuri Kalyanram and Tamannah Bhatia starrer Naa Nuvve, Young actor Raj Tarun starrer Rajugadu and Vishal & Samantha Akkineni starrer Abhimanyudu at the box office, which are also arriving at the theaters on 1st June.
