Kollywood superstar Rajinikanth has teamed up with Nelson for a project tentatively titled Thalaivar 169, which is bankrolled by Sun Pictures, which also produced Beast. Today morning the makers of Thalaivar 169 officially revealed the title. Rajinikanth and Nelson Dilipkumar ‘ film is titled Jailer.
The movie was officially launched a few months back with a teaser. Now the official update from the makers is Rajinikanth’s film with Nelson titled Jailer. The makers of this upcoming drama excited the movie lovers with an update announcement hinting at Rajinikanth’ film yesterday night and today morning they revealed the title by sharing a new poster on twitter handle. The poster hints that Jailer will be an action drama, and it’s going to be a different genre from Nelson Dilipkumar’ earlier movies.
It seems Rajinikanth will be seen in the role of jail warden in this upcoming actioner.
Nelson’ previous offering Beast starring Vijay was decent hit at the box office despite negative reviews and most have credited the film’s success to Vijay’s superstardom.
The shoot of Jailer will commence in July, and the makers are planning to shoot the major part of the movie in Chennai. Anirudh Ravichander has been roped in to render the tune.
