Tollywood has created history. The song Naatu Naatu from SS Rajamouli’ magnum opus RRR which was nominated in the Best Original Song category, won the Oscar award. ‘Applause’ from the movie Tell It Like a Woman, ‘Lift Me Up’ from the movie Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, ‘This Is Life’ from the movie Everything Everywhere All at Once, and ‘Hold My Hand’ from the movie Top Gun Maverick, gave this song a strong competition from the beginning. Finally Naatu Naatu song won the Oscars after pushing back the songs.
The theater erupted when the award was announced for RRR song in the Best Original Song category. On the other hand, Telugu movie lovers watching live are thrilled with joy. The ‘RRR’ team, which received the Oscar award, are on the ninth cloud.
The song is written by Chandra Bose and crooned by Rahul Sipliganj and Kalabhairava whereas choreographed by Prem Rakshit.
The movie starring Mega Power Star Ram Charan and Young Tiger Jr NTR was released on 24 March 2022 worldwide.
This is the first time a Telugu film song was nominated for an Oscar and won the award. Director Rajamouli, music director Keeravani, lyricist Chandra Bose, Jr NTR, Ram Charan and others took the social media to congratulate the film crew.
