Big budget movie ‘Ponniyin Selvan’ is being made in Kollywood. Mani Ratnam directed this movie. This movie is based on a popular novel. This film hit the screens on September 30. Star heroes like Jayam Ravi, Karthi and Vikram are acting in this movie.
Also star heroines like Aishwarya Rai and Trisha will be seen. But in Kollywood, a good buzz has been created for this film. In fact, they wanted to negotiate a deal for the rights to the first part. But finally, it is reported that the deal has been finalized for both parts.
It seems that Amazon Prime has acquired these rights for a total of Rs 125 crores inclusive of all languages. Along with Amazon, Hot Star also tried for the OTT rights of this movie. But with Amazon quoting a higher amount, the producers felt final.
