Anger Tales  web series review: An anthology web series Anger Tales starring Bindu Madhvi, Madonna Sebastian, Suhas, Tarun Bhaskar and Venkatesh Maha in lead roles was released on Disneyplus Hotstar OTT on Thursday. This series is directed by Nitin Prabhala Tilak. Suhas made his debut as a producer with this web series.

Hero Benefit Show story

It is about the  story of the benefit show with the hardships faced by a hero named Ranga (Venkatesh Maha) who wanted to put on a benefit show for his hero. Ranga believed the words of the distributor and sold tickets for a benefit show the night before the release. But as the show does not start at the scheduled time, it puts pressure on him. On the other hand local leader Pachabottu Seenu (Suhas) buys 200 tickets for that show.  Did the benefit show start on time? This story is about how Ranga was deceived after believing in the hero.

Radha’s rented house story

Radha (Bindumadhavi) is a middle class housewife. She lives in a rented house with her husband. As those houses are getting old, they want to vacate them but could not due to financial problems. Radha has migraine. Afternoon nap is a must for her. But the owners always talk loudly while sitting in front of the Radha room. He is given a warning to vacate the house for not disturbing his sleep. How Radha enlightened them is rest of the story.

Pooja food difficulties story

Pooja (Madonna Sebastian) lives in a vegetarian community with her husband Rajeev (Tarun Bhaskar). Pooja, who used to eat non-veg before marriage, becomes vegan as per the wishes of her husband and father-in-law. But as she falls sick, the doctor advises her to eat eggs. As non-veg was banned in their apartment, Pooja faced some difficulties. This episode is about how she decides to eat her favorite food.

Giridhar marriage  story

Giridhar (Phani Acharya) works in a real estate company. Due to baldness marriages cannot happen. If his performance is not good, he will be fired. The story ends with Giridhar taking refuge in the court after realizing that wearing a helmet has made him bald.

Taking the common problems faced in the society, director Nitin Prabhala Tilak has screened the Anger Tales series. Four stories were naturally presented on the screen.  The directior Venkatesh Maha acting is good in benefit show series. It is known that he recently criticized the movie KGF2.

Bindhu Madhavi showed the hardships of living in a rented house in a touching way. It’s nice how you naturally discover how much a small problem bothers others.

The director tells in a modern style how girls get away from their likes and interests after marriage due to their in-laws’ commitments. Baldness may seem like a minor problem but how can it increase self-esteem in a man? At the end, Giridhar presented a message through the story that sometimes it can become an obstacle to marriage.

The points chosen by the director Prabhala Tilak for this series are good but there is  missing connectivity at some places. The director extended the length of the series even though it was short. Along with the Pooja episode, Giridhar’s story seemed to be unable to be told meaningfully.

Performance-wise, Phani Acharya, Bindhu Madhavi, and Ravindra Vijay scored good marks in the other two stories. The idea of making an anthology series on basic human emotion, anger is fine. Overall Anger Tales is an anthology show that works in parts.
