The Amazon River is currently battling record high temperatures. Because of this, problems have arisen for the creatures living in it. Hundreds of dolphins have died here.

Brazil is facing record high temperatures this year. Along with the common people, animals and birds are facing a lot of problems. Due to rising temperatures, water is also boiling, due to which more than 100 dolphins have been found dead in the Amazon in the last seven days.

The water temperature has been recorded at 103 degrees Fahrenheit. According to Brazil’s Mamiroa Institute, dolphins have been found dead in Tefe Lake.

Regarding the sudden deaths of such a large number of dolphins, the institute said that drought and rising temperatures in the Amazon could be the reason for this. Significantly, the Amazon River is currently struggling with record high temperatures. Because of this, problems have arisen for the creatures living in it.

The institute said, ‘It is too early to give an exact answer to these deaths. However, according to our experts, it is definitely linked to drought and high temperatures in Lake Tefe.

Additionally, at least 59 municipalities have reported below average water levels in the Amazon, according to the report. Due to this, fishing activities in the river are being hampered.
