A Hindi movie Pippa made by Ishaan Khattar as the hero was released last week. It got a mixed response.  AR Rahman has given music for this movie, so it got special attention. But the song Karar Oi Louho Kopat composed by Rahman became very popular. It has gone viral.

But this song has now become a controversy. Criticism is coming everywhere. The reason is that this song is an Islamic patriotic song written by famous Bengali writer Nazrul Islam. That song of Karar Oi Louho Kopat was changed and used in the movie ‘Pippa’. With this, netizens and fans of the song are expressing their dissatisfaction. They are trolling and criticizing on social media.

In this context, the team of ‘Pippa’ responded to this. They explained about using the song in their movie. They apologized at the same time. But the makers said that they have taken the rights from that writer. They  said that permission was taken from the rights holders of the song, Late Mr. Kalyani Kazi and Witness Anirban Kazi, to change and use the lyrics of the song, and they used this song in their film only after he officially took the copyrights. 

At the same time, they said that they respect the opinions and emotions of the fans and people, that it is not their intention to insult anyone, nor is it their intention to hurt anyone’s sentiments. However, they apologized for causing trouble due to the song. To this extent, an official statement was released from the production company Roy Kapur Films.
