A police station has filed a complaint against B Town actor Ranbir Kapoor, who is currently on the ninth cloud as his recently released movie Animal is doing superb collections at the box office. Now according to the latest report, a complaint against Ranbir Kapoor for allegedly hurting religious sentiments over viral video while celebrating Christmas.
The reason for the complaint was the cake cutting that took place among his family members as part of the Christmas celebrations. Young hero Jahan Kapoor, who recently made his debut in Bollywood, poured wine on the cake and Ranbir Kapoor set it on fire with a lighter. Moreover, Ranbir was heard saying ‘Jai Mata Di’ in the video that went viral. As a result, two lawyers named Ashish Roy and Pankaj Mishra from Mumbai filed a complaint at the Ghatkopar Police Station, saying that Ranbir Kapoor had hurt religious sentiments. It is said that Sanatana Dharma has been insulted.
“In Hindu Dharma, Agni is worshiped before worshiping the gods. However, Ranbir Kapoor and his family members deliberately used drugs banned in Hinduism during festivals of other religions. “Jai Mata Di” slogans were also chanted,” the lawyers mentioned in the complaint. The lawyers claimed that religious sentiments have been hurt.
