The latest information has come out that leading OTT platform Netflix has acquired the digital streaming rights of ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’. It seems that this OTT deal has been concluded with Mythri Movie Makers. Earlier Amazon Prime Video OTT platform competed for Pushpa 2 rights. However, it seems that Amazon Prime backed down due to the huge demand from the makers for the sequel rights.
Amazon Prime Video has acquired the rights of the movie ‘Pushpa 1: The Rise’ released in 2021 for Rs 30 crores. It seems that Netflix has acquired the rights of the sequel ‘ Puspa 2: The Rule ‘ by paying three times more than that. It is said that this OTT deal was done for around Rs 100 crores. Netflix has come forward to pay such a huge amount due to the full craze for the Pushpa 2 movie.
