Young Rebel star Prabhas, Saif Ali Khan, Kriti Sanon, Sunny Singh are working together for an upcoming magnum opus “Adipurush” which is one of the most anticipated Indian films of 2022. Directed by Om Raut of Tanhaji fame, the periodic film has caught the attention of the entire nation since its inception.
Recently during the media interaction, Om Raut talked about his prestigious project Adipurush and said, “ The upcoming drama Adipurush is set 7000 years ago and all touch points are similar to Ramayana, but with modern storytelling techniques. Prabhas’ character in the film Adipurush is not called Ram, he is another name of Ram, Raghav. Sita, essayed by Kriti Sanon, is called Janki, whereas Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan’s Ravana is Lankesh, which is also a derivative of Ramayana names. The meaning of Adipurush is “the first man”, but here the interpretation is “the best man.”
Adipurush helmer Om Raut also added, “Lord Rama is often associated with Maryada Purushottam , its meaning is “Supreme being.” I want the audience to imbibe the spirit of ‘Maryada’. The meaning of ‘Maryada’ is staying true to one’s principles throughout life.”
Prabhas starrer Adipurush will be released in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada and other languages worldwide by the end of this year.
