It is known that Prakash Raj married actress Lalitha Kumari in the year 1994. They had two daughters, Meghana and Pooja, and a son, Sidhu who died in the year 2004.The couple divorced in 2009.[
Later, Prakash Raj tied the knot with the choreographer Pony Verma on 24 August 2010. The couple has a son named Vedhanth who was born in 2015 .
Prakash Raj revealed that due to some differences he got separated from his first wife Lalitha Kumari and later decided to marry Pony Verma. He added that his son died when he was 5 years old at his farmhouse as he accidentally slipped from the building. And added that at that time he decided to commit suicide but later decided to withdraw his decision to help the needy.
