The 2021–’23 elections of MAA set for 10th October, will start from 8 AM in the morning and continue till 2 PM in the afternoon. The counting of votes and declaration of winners will be done on the same day. The actor and filmmaker Vishnu Manchu and Prakash Raj are contesting for the president post. Prakash Raj took to his Twitter and asked shall we live with the help, donations, and freebies, or shall we live busily with all lights and action. Ask, Though and implementation for MAA and MAA member welfare.”
Prakash Raj also interacted with the media and targeted Manchu Vishnu. Prakash Raj also asked why political parties and political outfits are being involved in the issue as the election is out of the political spectrum.
On the otherside Minister for information and public relations Perni Nani said the Chief Minister or YSR Congress Party are in no way connected to the MAA elections. His clarification came amid reports that the Jagan Mohan Reddy government is backing a particular panel in MAA elections. Prakash Raj who is contesting for MAA elections, thanked the chief minister and minister for the clarification.
Earlier Prakash Raj had slammed the rival panel for allegedly claiming support of Jagan Mohan Reddy in the elections.
Manchu Vishnu is on a spree of meeting the senior and veteran heroes in the industry to seek their support whereas Prakash Raj is not meeting any senior actors. Prakas has been highlighting how he will work for the betterment of MAA.
