Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire, starring Prabhas and Prithviraj Sukumaran in lead roles, is slated to hit the theaters on December 22, 2023. In a recent interview with Baahubali and RRR film maker SS Rajamouli, director Prashanth Neel disclosed the reasons behind choosing an A rating for Prabhas starrer Salaar which has Shruti Haasan as the leading lady. Censor officials said many cuts after the preview. Prashanth Neil said ok even though he didn’t like it. Prashanth Neel added, “I am very disappointed because the movie is not vulgar; it showcases necessary violence. When I conveyed the same to Prabhas, he advised me to go for an A certificate instead of U/A.”
Prashanth Neel Neil made it clear that what he showed in Salaar was the necessary bloodshed and not forced violence. Once again he emphasized that there will be no romance, s… and songs.
Salaar also has Jagapathi Babu, Sriya Reddy, Ramachandra Raju, Saptagiri, Prudhvi Raj, Jhansi, Madhu Guruswamy, Tinnu Anand, Easwari Rao, and Mime Gopi. Adding to this stellar cast, Simrat Kaur makes a special appearance as herself in an item song. The Pan Indian film is helmed by Hombale Films and has the music by Ravi Basrur.
