The 10th edition of the most prestigious South Indian International Movie Awards ceremony is going to take place on September 10th and 11th, this year in Bengaluru. In recent times, the nominations for the awards in all the 4 South Indian languages Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam have been disclosed.
When it comes to Telugu language, the recent pan-India hit picture Pushpa: The Rise dominates other movies on the nominations list. The list shows Pushpa in the top position, as it acquires 12 nominations in total, while Balayya’s Akhanda is having only 10 nominations. And the third position is being occupied by two blockbusters Uppena and Jathiratnalu with 8 nominations each.
Coming to Tamil, Dhanush’s Karnan is leading with 10 nominations, while Sivakarthikeyan’s Doctor is having 9 nominations. Master and Thalaivi are in third place with 7 nominations each. In Kannada, Darshan’s Robert is in top with 10 nominations, while Garuda Gamana Vrishabha Vahana is having 8 nominations and Yuvaratna, directed by Santosh Ananddram is in third place with 7 nominations.
When it comes to Malayalam, Minnal Murali, directed by Basil Joseph is in first place with 10 nominations, while Dulquer Salmaan’s Kurup stands in second place with 8 nominations. And the third position goes to two movies Malik and Joji with 6 nominations respectively.
Overall, if we compare the movies which are in the first place on the nomination list in all languages, Pushpa, the Telugu movie is in the top most position with a maximum number of Oscar nominations. Among these nominations, the winners will be selected through an online voting system.
