On Friday Indian Olympic Association appointed Raghuram Iyer as the Chief Executive Officer.
Raghuram Iyer has been selected as the new CEO of the Indian Olympic Association. Earlier he worked as the CEO of Rajasthan Royals. Olympic Association said in a statement. Raghuram’s vast experience in sports management makes him a suitable person for these responsibilities. After interviewing several candidates,Raghuram Iyer was selected. It also stated that his selection was unanimous. Raghuram’s appointment was made in the wake of the International Olympic Committee’s repeated reminders about the appointment of the CEO.
Raghuram, who served as the CEO of Rajasthan Royals, held several key responsibilities in the past. He served zx ATK Mohun Bagan and RPSG Mavericks (Table Tennis Team) as part of Indian Super Leagues.
Former IOC president PT Usha also welcomed Raghuram Iyer’s selection. Iyer is said to have a deep understanding of the field of sports. She opined that Iyer’s selection is a crucial step towards India’s success in world sports. So far, All India Football Federation President and IOA Joint Secretary have held the duties of the CEO of the Indian Olympic Association.
