Japan Earthquake has worried millions across the globe and after Young Tiger Jr NTR, Baahubali film maker SS Rajamouli writes a note about the tragedy in the nation saying it is very disheartening.
An earthquake of 7.6 magnitude occurred in North Central Japan. Due to this, tsunami waves started rising in the sea. Waves up to 1.2 meters high hit the shores. The Japan Meteorological Agency said 21 earthquakes of magnitude 4.0 or greater struck central Japan in just 90 minutes on Monday.
Rajamouli wrote on the wall of X: It’s very disturbing to learn about the earthquakes affecting Japan severely. The country holds a special place in our hearts. My thoughts are with everyone affected.
The Japan Meteorological Agency issued a tsunami warning in the coastal areas of Ishikawa, Niigata and Toyama prefectures. According to the weather agency, due to the earthquake, waves up to 5 meters high reached Noto in Ishikawa Prefecture.
After waves rising up to several meters high, people living in coastal areas were instructed to move to safe places due to the fear of tsunami. Rescue teams also reached possible tsunami areas.
