Socially active industrialist Anand Mahindra gave a key suggestion to the famous director SS Rajamouli. It is known that Rajamouli has shown his directorial talent to the whole country and the world through Baahubali and RRR movies. Both of these are stories with historical background. With this, Anand Mahindra made an important suggestion. Anand Mahindra suggested Rajamouli to make a film on the Indus Valley (Indus) Civilization.
Harappa, Mohenjo Daro, Dholavira, Lothal, Kalibangan, Banavali, Rakhigarhi, Surkotada, Chanhudaro, Rupar etc are the evidence of great ancient civilization. Anand Mahindra has posted each area-wise painting photo on his Twitter handle. He tweeted: These are amazing illustrations that bring history alive & spark our imagination. Shoutout to @ssrajamouli to consider a film project based on that era that will create global awareness of that ancient civilisation
Rajamouli immediately responded to this. “Yes sir. During the shooting of the movie Magadheera in Dolavia, I saw a very ancient tree. It became a ruin. The tree was a witness to the rise and fall of the Indus Civilization. After that I also went to Pakistan. I tried hard to visit Mohenjodaro, but permission was denied,” Rajamouli replied to Anand Mahindra’s suggestion.
Rajamouli seems to be referring to the obstacles to attempts to learn about civilization. It remains to be seen whether SS Rajamouli will give a visual form to Anand Mahindra’ suggestion in the future.
