Kollywood superstar Rajinikanth has also announced a donation of Rs 50 Lakhs to FEFSI workers, who have lost their livelihood due to the Covid-19, coronavirus outbreak.

 On 16th March,  Film Employees Federation of South India announced that the film industry will shut down indefinitely as a precautionary measure to prevent the spread of the novel Covid-19, coronavirus. Following this, hundreds of FEFSI workers have lost jobs due to the halt in the  shooting. On 23rd March, Kollywood stars Suriya and Karthi donated Rs 10 lakh to FEFSI workers,  and now Rajinikanth has also joined this list and donated Rs 50 Lakhs.

Film Employees Federation of South India also released a statement, urging the celebrities  from the film industry to contribute some amount to the daily wage workers in the industry. Suriya, Karthi and his family were one of the firsts to come forward and help them.

Recently Suriya also shared an awareness video about covid-19 Coronavirus, urging people to stay home. Now, the latest buzz is that Rajinikanth donated Rs 50 Lakh for FEFSI members.

 On the work front, Rajinikanth was last seen in AR Murugadoss’ directorial venture Darbar in which he essayed the role of a cop. Now 2.0 star will be next seen in Annaatthe, which is being helmed by Siruthai Siva.
