Superstar Rajinikanth, one of Indian cinema’s biggest names, will soon will be seen playing the titular role in action drama Jailer. The movie has garnered a fair deal of attention as it features him in a new avatar. The movie Jailer went on the floors on Monday, 22nd August. Sun Pictures, the banner behind the biggie shared the news on Twitter by releasing a first look poster of Rajinikanth. Jail is an actioner, directed by Nelson Dilipkumar. It marks Nelson’ first collaboration with Rajinikanth.
Coming on the first look poster of Jailer, Rajinikanth is sporting an intense and authoritarian avatar. The reports are coming that the major part of the film will be shot on a set erected in a film city in Hyderabad. Shivarajkumar, popularly known as Shivanna will be seen playing a very important role in the film. He is essaying the role of antagonist in Jailer.
Former beauty queen Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is playing one of the leading ladies in Rajinikanth starrer while Yogi Babu is playing the important role. The full cast and crew of Jailer is yet to be announced. Anirudh Ravichander has been brought on the board to render the tune.
Jailer is slated to hit the theaters in Summer 2023.
