Rishab Shetty’s master work Kantara is creating a widest sensation not only in the Kannada region, but also in Telugu states. Soon after its release in Karnataka, the film’s craze has creeped to other regions nationwide. Just with such a small film with rural backdrop, the director cum the lead actor of the film, Rishab Shetty has gained a mountainous popularity all over the nation.
Many dignitaries have admired the movie to a large extent and the Tamil star Rajinikanth is one among them. Today, he expressed his opinion on Kantara and took the entire team to heights by heaping praises on it.
His tweet reads, “The unknown is more than the known. No one could have said this better in cinema than Homebale Films. Kantara movie, you gave me goosebumps. Rishab hats off to you as a writer, director and actor. Congrats to the whole cast and crew of this masterpiece in Indian cinema.”
Kantara, which translates to mystical forest, showcases the story of a demigod Bhoota who trades forest land to the tribe’s people with a king in 1870 in exchange for happiness. Many years later, when the king’s son grows greedy and wants the land back, he dies due to the wrath of Bhoota. The story involves the culture of Kambla and Bhootha Kola. A human and nature conflict where Shiva is the rebellion who works against nature.
