It is known news that Akkineni Nagarjuna collaborated with filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma after 25 years for the upcoming action entertainer Officer. The entire shoot of the movie has been already wrapped up and currently the film is in post production stage. The 58-year-old actor will also be seen in a cop avatar after a long time. However, it is now being said that RGV’s film is inspired by actor Liam Neeson’s French action thriller series, Taken. But finally Varma came forward and completely denied the news saying that his film doesn’t resemble Taken even remotely. The film maker states that neither the story of Officer is inspired nor lifted from any other film. According to him, the only resemblance is that it is the story of a cop and his daughter.
Myra Sareen is playing the female lead in the film, which is being bankrolled by Sudeer Chandra and Ram Gopal Varma under the banner R Company. The movie is scheduled to hit the theaters on 25th May.
Nagarjuna’s last release Raju Gari Gadhi 2 was a good hit and expectations on his film with RGV are high.
