Recently sensational director Ram Gopal Varma who is popularly known as RGV responded to Jana Sena leader Naga Babu’ tweet on Mahatma Gandhi killer Nathuram Godse. RGV had stated that he came to know about Godse during his school days. Many don’t know the reason as to why Godse killed Mahatma Gandhi being his follower. RGV opined that the then Central government was scared to reveal the reasons of Godse for assassinating Gandhi. Ram Gopal Varma also defended Naga Babu for saying Godse is a patriot.

Climax filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma said, “I don’t support Nathuram  Godse killed Mahatma Gandhi. I am one of the millions of admirers of Mahatma Gandhi because it is not easy to inspire millions of people in India. On the other hand, I strongly believe that Godse’s motivation to kill Mahatma Gandhi is true patriotism. My film The Man Who Killed Gandhi will be from Godse’s point of view. Mahatma Gandhi will be seen in the last scene.”
