His previous offering was a controversial movie Amma Rajyam Lo Kadapa Biddalu. Now Ram Gopal Varma is planning to come up with a web series based on Mumbai underworld. According to Ram Gopal Varma, his web series will focus on the rise of Dawood Ibrahim as a mafia kingpin.
This is the first time, Ram Gopal Varma is going to work for a web series, and will be loosely based on the life of elusive mafia don Dawood Ibrahim between the early 1980s till the 1993 blasts, which Dawood Ibrahim is accused of orchestrating.
It is known news that in 2002, Ram Gopal Varma came up with a movie Company, based on Dawood Ibrahim’ life in which Bollywood actor Ajay Devgn and Vivek Oberoi played the lead roles.
Recently Ram Gopal Varma attended an interview and spoke about his plan about web series based on Dawood Ibrahim’ life. Officer director RGV said, “The web series will be a definitive chronicle of the Mumbai underworld. I have gathered the research material on this subject over the last two decades, and only a web series can do justice to it. very soon I will make an official announcement regarding the web series, it’s cast and crew.
Currently Ram Gopal Varma is busy in the promotional activities of his upcoming film Beautiful in which Parth Suri and Naina Ganguli are playing the lead roles and it is being directed by Agasthya Manju. It will hit the theaters on 1st January on the occasion of the new year.
