Ram Pothineni has an elder brother Krishna Chaitanya who was a pilot and gave up his job to pursue a career in film production. By sharing the pic of nephew Sidhanth Pothineni, With Ram Pothineni not intending to marry now, he indirectly tweeted that his nephew is his successor, be it family or the movies.

On the work front, Ram Pothineni is currently busy in the shoot of action-drama Red, which is on the verge of completion. And he is also looking to listen to various stories. The young actor is careful as he got a huge hit with Puri Jagannadh’s directorial venture Ismart Shankar and wants to balance his mass and class image amongst the movie lovers.
Red is a remake of Tamil film Thadam and is directed by Kishore Tirumala. Ram Pothineni will be seen playing a dual role in Red.
