Baahubali and Nene Raja Nene Mantri fame Rana Daggubati took his fans by surprise, and announced a project with director Teja. Currently the actor is at the San Diego Comic-Con, where he announced his new film Hiranyakashyap. Rana’s production house Spirit Media will bankroll Hiranyakashya.
The upcoming movie is inspired by Amar Chitra Katha comics and will have its story penned by the creative and talented film maker Trivikram Srinivas. Rana Daggubati will play the role of demon king.
Virata Parvam fame star has now partnered with Sophia Paul’s Weekend Blockbusters, the producers of the Malayalam superhero movie Minnal Murali. The 2 companies’ 1st venture together will be the new comic character, Minnal Murali, who will find a home in Indian comic magazine Tinkle.
The upcoming movie is about Hiranyakashyap, and his plan to achieve vengeance by destroying the Lord Indira’s kingdom. Other details about this upcoming project are expected to be revealed at Comic-Con.
It is known that film maker Gunasekhar along with his team, worked for a few years on this drama. Rana Daggubati was supposed to act under the direction of Gunasekhar, and the pre-production works were also completed but the project did not materialize due to unknown reasons.
