Rashmi Gautam is an active user of social media sites. She is one of the actresses who raises her voice especially the issues related to women. This time Rashmi Gautam has extended her support to newly elected Trinamool Congress lawmakers Mimi Chakraborty and Nusrat Jahan.
On Tuesday, both- Nusrat Jahan and Mimi Chakraborty visited Parliament. The saree is regular dress code for most women lawmakers. Instead of wearing saree, these two young MPs – Nusrat Jahan and Mimi Chakraborty wore pants and tops on their first day in the Lok Sabha. They also took their pics in the premises of Parliament and shared them on their Twitter handle.
Mimi Chakraborty captioned the photos with, “1st day #LokSabha #Memberofparliament. And its us again 1st day at Parliament @nusratchirps,” while Nusrat Jahan wrote, “A new beginning..!! I thank @MamataOfficial and people of my #Basirhat constituency to have belief in me..” But the pics of Mimi Chakraborty and Nusrat Jahan became the hot topic of discussion on social media.
Rashmi Gautam spoke in the support of Nusrat Jahan and Mimi Chakraborty, she wrote on Twitter, “Go girls Ignore the standard B.S and fulfil your duties Bottom line u were chosen May the rest of them suck it up until the next elections.”
