Kannada lady Rashmika Mandanna is set to star in an upcoming bilingual Telugu and Tamil film titled Rainbow, which will be backed by Dream Warrior Pictures. The announcement regarding this project Rainbow was made today morning.
According to the makers, Rainbow is a breezy romantic fantasy. It is a women centric film and it will mark Rashmika Mandanna’ first film as a solo lead. It is helmed by debutant Shantharuban and has Dev Mohan, who will be seen soon in Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s Shaakuntalam, in the important role. The film Rainbow has been launched today with a formal pooja ceremony and the regular shoot will commence from 7th April.
KM Bhaskaran has been roped in as the cinematographer and Justin Prabhakaran will render the tune. National award winning production designer Banglan is also part of Rashmika Mandanna starrer film.
On the occasion of the launch event, the director Shantharuban said, “Rainbow will be a romantic fantasy story in Tollywood. You will see Rashmika Mandanna’ most mature performance. The movie will tug your heartstrings and at the same time enthrall the movie lovers with its inventive storytelling.
The film is bankrolled by SR Prakash Babu and SR Prabhu of Dream Warrior Pictures.
