Ravanasura Movie Review: Ravi Teja, Sushanth, Megha Akash, Daksha Nagarkar, Anu Emmanuel, Faria Abdullah,  Poojitha Ponnada, Sriram, Rao Ramesh, and others starrer Ravanasura helmed by Sudheer Varma has hit the theaters today on 7th April 2023. Let’s see the story of Ravanausra.

Story: Ravindra (Ravi Teja) works as a junior lawyer for a reputedcriminal lawyer named Kanaka Mahalakshmi (Faria Abdullah). But one day Harika (Megha Akash) comes to Mahalakshmi  and asks the latter to take up a murder case in which her father (Sampath Raj) is the accused. But seeing Harika, Ravindra likes her at first sight and takes this case with personal interest. The police finds out that not just one but many murders took place in the same pattern. Who did these murders? How is Harika’s father connected to this? What are the roles of other heroines in this story? If you want to know the answer of these interesting questions, you have to watch this movie on the silver screen.

Plus Points:

·         Performance

·         Ravi Teja

·         BGM

·         Thrill elements

 Minus points:

·         Screenplay

·         Second half predictable story

Performance:  The Biggest Plus point of this film is  Mass Maharaj Ravi Teja’s new unexpected characterization. We witness a completely new Ravi Teja in this Ravanasura as per the title of the movie for the role written by the director. Ravi Teja does a good job with the film. In the initial few minutes, we get to see the entertainment in Ravi Teja, but suddenly his character gets a solid transformation intriguing the viewers. It isn’t easy to pull off a grey-shaded role, but Ravi Teja brings out the best of him and does this part with utmost conviction. His menacing act will be a feast for fans, and the actor’s performance in a couple of scenes is whistle worthy. Sushanth gets a good role, and he does his part nicely. There are five female characters in this film, and everyone is okay in their respective roles. Plot-wise, Megha Akash gets more prominence, and she is fine in her role.

Technical:  The background score composed by Harshavardhan Rameshwar and Bheems Ceciroleo was good. The cinematography by Vijay Karthik is eye pleasing, and he does justice to the film’s genre. The editing is ok. The production values are neat. Logics are missing in some scenes. Also, the screenplay in the second half should be better. Also, even after going into the main story, there is not much newness in the plot. Even though it was good before, the narration seems to have lost its way. It would have been better if the director had tried something new in this regard. Also, at one time, even the songs in the film do not seem to be that important.

Analysis: Overall Ravanasura is an engaging crime thriller drama. However, there are many heroines and many people may have the question of how to balance it, but the director handled this very well and showed everyone in the scenes with equal priority. Faria, Megha Akash, Anu Emmanuel Daksha Nagarkar all have good roles in their respective scenes with good emotions. Another important point is that those who want some commercial and entertainment elements from Ravi Teja will be disappointed.
