ravi Shankar alok suicide: Ravi Shankar Alok, a 32-year-old screenplay writer was found dead in Andheri (W), Mumbai. According to the police report, he committed suicide today.

The police officials said, “Ravi Shankar Alok, a resident of Seven Bungalows area in Andheri (W), ended his life by jumping off from the roof of the building at around 2 pm on Wednesday.” The sources say that Ravi Shankar Alok was suffering from depression as he was unemployed for the past 1 year and was undergoing psychiatric treatment.

Ravi Shankar Alok is popular as the writer of Ab Tak Chhappan, directed by Shimit Amin,  and produced by Ram Gopal Varma aka RGV, in which Nana Patekar played the lead role.

Officials at the Versova police station have confirmed that they did not find any suicide note on Ravi Shankar Alok’s body or in his house. He was staying with his brother, who was not present in the house when  the screenwriter allegedly committed suicide.

Ravi Shankar Alok had last worked with Sudhir Mishra for the movie Daas Dev. He was the assistant writer of the movie. Sudhir Mishra said, “We worked together on Daas Dev around 4 years ago. I am shocked after hearing that Ravi Shankar Alok has committed suicide.”
