Some movies are never expected to become hits. Some of them become blockbusters and bring huge profits. ‘Jathi Ratnalu‘ is also one such movie. The film came before the second wave of Corona and gave huge profits to the buyers. Director Anudeep KV became the most wanted director with this film. As if the house has to be cleaned while the lamp is still there, he managed to do the movie with a Tamil star hero like Siva Karthikeyan when this movie was a blockbuster. That’s Prince.
The trailer looks good. If not, the film released today will get negative talk. It is noteworthy that 4 movies were released today but this is the movie that got negative talk. There are some reasons for that. Let’s have a look at that:
1) The movie ‘Jathi Ratnalu’ became a hit not only because of the comedy workout in it. The performances of Naveen Polishetty, Rahul Ramakrishna and Priyadarshi who acted in it impressed the youth. Their comedy timing is also spot on. But Prince has a total of 50 batches. Their body language did not match Anudeep’s writing at all. Siva Karthikeyan seemed okay.
2) Anudeep also didn’t write great comedy tracks. Otherwise, some one-liners that should have exploded were wasted due to that poor casting.
3) The story itself has been seen many times in the past as told in the trailer. But this is the first time to see such a poor take.
4) It is wrong to say that all movies have good stories. The outcome of the movie depends on the story itself. Here it is also a minus. How minuscule means that most of the unnecessary scenes are also included.
5) Comedy should be talked about everywhere in this movie. If the gestures of the actors are not delivering the right punch dialogues then the background score needs some push. Although the background score provided by Thaman is rich, it doesn’t sync with the scene. It can’t be minus the background music, but it must be.
6) Heroine Maria… If you think that Olivia Morris is entertaining with her acting and gestures in ‘R.R.R.’
7) Sathyaraj’s role is more of a comedian and less of a supporting actor.
8) Anand Raj, who is famous for his villainous roles, has recently been doing mostly comedy roles that don’t suit him. Even in this his role is not ripe.
9) No matter how the first half is.. if the second half and climax are good then the movie will be successful..! There is nothing to brag about. If you think the second half will be good, the first half will be better when you go there. If you think the climax will be good.. that is minus. Feels better than before.
10) In the case of songs, except for ‘Bimbili’, the rest are not audible anywhere.
