Varun Tej who is popular for acting in different genres of movies was supposed to shoot for a boxing drama under the direction of debutant Kiran Korrapati. However, it seems, Mega Prince has changed his mindset. Recently it was heard that the director Surender Reddy had narrated a script to Varun Tej and the actor has given his nod as he was very happy with his character. If everything will go accordingly, the upcoming project of Varun Tej and Surender Reddy will go on the floor very soon before the boxing drama. But now according to the latest buzz in the film industry, Varun Tej has accepted the rejected story of Prabhas.
Surender Reddy is rumored to have narrated the same script to Varun Tej which he had also narrated to Prabhas previously. But since Prabhas is busy with his next romantic drama Jaan till next summer, has rejected the movie so Surender Reddy decided to replace Baahubali star with Varun Tej and the actor gave his nod immediately.
The sources say that Surender Reddy met Prabhas a few days ago, but the actor has no dates available till December next year so Surender Reddy has decided to go with Varun Tej for his next as he can’t wait for Prabhas for more than a year. Prabhas is currently busy in Radha Krishna Kumar’s directorial venture Jaan, which is produced jointly by Gopi Krishna Movies and UV Creations in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu simultaneously.
Apart from directing the movie, Surender Reddy has also decided to co-produce his upcoming directorial venture starring Varun Tej along with Rajeev Reddy and Krish.
After delivering Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy, Surender Reddy has been linked with some big-ticket projects featuring superstars of Tollywood.
Varun Tej has two releases like F2 Fun and Frustration and Gaddalakonda Ganesh earlier this year and both of them are hit at the box office.
