It is known that Superstar Krishna breathed his last on November 15, 2022 at a private hospital in Hyderabad. The superstar was 79.
He was passed away today after battling age-related issues. The entire Telugu film industry mourned the loss of Superstar Krishna.
Superstar Krishna was born to Ghattamaneni Raghavayya Chowdary and Nagaratnamma on 31st May, 1943. He predominantly worked in Telugu cinema. In a career spanning 5 decades, Superstar Krishna acted in over 350 films. His fans fondly call him Superstar.
Superstar Krishna tied the knot with Indira Devi and later to Vijaya Nirmala. While Vijaya Nirmala passed away in 2019, she breathed her last in September, 2022. He is father to 5 children; Ramesh Babu, Mahesh Babu, Padmavathi, Manjula and Priyadarshini. Ramesh Babu passed away in the month of January 2022.
Superstar Krishna started his career with a brief role in Kula Gothralu in 1961. He also appeared in supporting roles for the next couple of years. It was in 1965 that he made his debut as the lead actor in the movie Thene Manasulu. 2 years later, Sakshi gave him the much-needed boost and the film won critical acclaim at the Tashkent Film Festival.
Apart from films, Superstar Krishna also ventured into politics and bid goodbye to it in 2012. Krishna was one of the highest-paid actors during his time.
