Narcotics Control Bureau – NCB said in an affidavit filed before the HC on Monday, Rhea Chakraborty is an active member of a drug syndicate connected with high society personalities and drug suppliers. NCB has opposed bail pleas filed by Bengali beauty and actress Rhea Chakraborty and Showik Chakraborty in Bombay HC following their arrest in the drugs case related to Sushant Singh Rajput’ death.
Rhea Chakraborty is accused of harboring late actor Sushant Singh Rajput for consumption of drugs. Narcotics Control Bureau has opposed the bail application of Rhea Chakraborty and said there is sufficient evidence gathered that she is involved in the trafficking of the drugs. NCB- Narcotics Control Bureau said that the drugs which were financed were not for personal consumption but it was for supplying to other person.
Narcotics Control Bureau said in an affidavit that if Rhea is granted bail, then it will hamper the probe.
On the otherside, Rhea Chakraborty’ lawyer, Satish Manshide, has alleged that NCB, had no record to show that they were collecting material from Sushant Singh Rajput’ phone or looking into his transactions in the drugs case.
Rhea Chakraborty’s bail hearing is currently underway in Bombay High Court.
