The young actor Vijay Deverakonda and Kannada beauty Rashmika Mandanna starrer romantic movie Geetha Govindam is going to Bollywood. Now, according to the latest update, Bollywood hit machine Rohit Shetty, the director-producer behind some of the biggest hits such as Singham franchise, the Golmaal franchise and Simmba, has acquired the Hindi remake rights of Geetha Govindam.

Currently, Rohit Shetty is busy in the shoot of his ongoing project Sooryavamsham in which Akshay Kumar is playing the lead role.  It is the fourth installment of Shetty’s Police Universe, and the costliest cop film ever made in the history of Indian cinema. The sources say that Rohit Shetty may not direct the Hindi version of  Geetha Govindam. Now we have to wait and see that who will play the lead roles in the Hindi remake of Vijay Deverakonda starrer.

 Geetha Govindam is directed by Parasuram and produced by Bunny Vas under the banner of Geetha Arts 2 whereas presented by Mega Producer Allu Aravind.  Vijay Deverakonda starrer was one of the biggest blockbusters in Tollywood’s history as the movie grossed nearly Rs 130 crores worldwide.

Rohit Shetty started his career at the age of 17 as an assistant director with Kuku Kohli during Phool Aur Kaante.
