From Best Director to Best Picture, SS Rajamouli’ directorial venture RRR will be seen competing for a spot at the Oscars 2023 nomination list in the various categories. Although RRR starring Mega power Star Ram Charan and Young Tiger Jr NTR was not an official entry from India, but the movie was sent in an independent entry due to the immense support of fans across the world. Indian movie lovers are confident that RRR will win big at the event.
Chhelo Show is India’s official entry into the Oscars, Rajamouli and his team are taking their film RRR as an independent entry to the Oscars, hopeful to catch the jury’s attention. The special screenings of RRR are planned for various crowds including the team of professionals who are eligible to vote. Rajamouli and RRR team are spending Rs 50 Cr on these screenings and arrangements. Rajamouli is confident on making it to the Oscars which are scheduled for next year.
It is known that recently Variety predicted that RRR would be nominated in the Best Visual Effects category and would compete against Everything Everywhere All at Once, Black Panther, Wakanda Forever, The Batman, Top Gun Maverick, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness as well as Avatar 2.
