RRR is one of the most hyped movies of the Indian film industry, right now. Helmed by SS Rajamouli who is known for helming the Baahubali series, Magadheera, and Eega, is bringing two top stars Jr NTR and Ram Charan together on the big screen. The movie has an ensemble cast, starring the likes of Ajay Devgn, Alia Bhatt, Olivia Morris, Samuthirakani, Alison Doody, and Ray Stevenson.
After being delayed due to the pandemic, RRR, which is being bankrolled by DVV Danayya, is set for a theatrical release on 7th January, 2022. Rajamouli’ magnum opus RRR narrates a fictional tale set in the 1920s, in which Ram Charan’ role is characterized by fire and NTR’s part is signified by the element, water. The makers of RRR are in plans to release it on as many as 10,000+ screens across the world and it will be the highest ever for an Indian film to date.
The sources say that the makers are in talks with the overseas distributors to release the movie on around 2500 screens in the USA alone.
Jr NTR and Ram Charan starrer is distributed by Lyca Productions for Tamil Nadu, Pen Studios for North India, and DVV Entertainments for Telugu release. The makers have sold its digital and satellite rights for a whopping Rs 325 cores.
