SS Rajamouli’s RRR is a lot of things, but at its core, it is fulfillment of a connection between Ram and Bheem to take down British. The bromance between Alluri Sitarama Raju, essayed by Ram Charan, and Komaram Bheem, played by Young Tiger Jr NTR, never fades, even for a second in the movie. Earlier Rajamouli had stated that the characters were fictional, it had been widely speculated that the two leads were based on real freedom fighters who had not received their due recognition. Rajamouli created a dimension in RRR where two worlds collide, one of Komaram Bheem, a Gond tribal leader from Telangana and the other Alluri Sitarama Raju, a freedom fighter and a tribal leader from Andhra Pradesh. We have already reported that RRR set new records on OTT platforms Netflix and ZEE5 but it couldn’t charm the audience of the Indian households for its world TV premiere in Telugu.
RRR which is bankrolled by DVV Danayya under the banner of DVV Entertainment, which was telecast on a popular channel couldn’t secure the highest TRPs. RRR recorded a 19.62 rating. RRR’ TRP ratings was much lower than several other movies that touched a rating of 29.4 points.
