Recent information has been out about the OTT rights of Leo movie. A leading OTT platform has signed a deal to pay a huge amount for the digital rights of the film. Netflix has agreed to pay Rs 125 crores for the OTT streaming rights of the movie Leo starring Thalapathy Vijay. If this deal is done, Leo will set a new record as the highest priced Tamil movie in terms of OTT rights.
Gnanavel Raja, the producer of the film, has already said that Amazon Prime Video platform has acquired the OTT rights of Tamil star hero Surya’s Kanguva for Rs 80 crores. However, there are reports that the OTT rights of Leo are being sold for Rs 125 crores.
Reports have revealed that Leo movie has already collected up to Rs 430 crores in the form of theatrical, satellite and distribution rights. Leo will release in theaters on October 19 this year.
